An Average Day
I work closely with customers to understand performance needs, recommend appropriate materials and construction methods, and translate technical requirements into manufacturable solutions. I also closely collaborate with internal teams including design, engineering, purchasing, and production to ensure quality, cost, and lead time targets are met.
With a focus on organization and momentum, I serve as the project manager to keep teams aligned and projects progressing smoothly.
Past experience
I have dedicated my career to new product development within the sewn goods industry, combining technical expertise with creative problem solving. I led the design and development of a wide range of sewn products, including motorcycle seats, saddlebags, backrests, and boat seats. My role spans the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through design, development, and production, to end-of-life support.
Favorite memory
LJ Design & Manufacturing has a fun annual tradition of hosting a Halloween costume contest and I was proud to take home a win in 2024! Blending my creativity in sewn goods with a healthy dose of competitive spirit, I’m already gearing up to bring my best to the next contest.
Fun fact
I’m passionate about sewing – from garments to home décor. I thrive on the creativity it allows. They say, ‘she who dies with the most fabric wins’ and judging by my collection, I’m definitely a top contender.
