The Challenge
Bruno Independent Living Aids is a leading manufacturer of stair, scooter, and platform lifts. Their scooter lifts feature optional securement belts for added safety and usability. When a long-term employee announcend their retirement, Bruno began looking for a new manufacturing partner.
Engineering a Better Way Forward
Having previously collaborated with us on a successful project, Bruno re-engaged LJ Design & Manufacturing for support. Since these are load-bearing straps for heavy-duty use, the belts require box-X and bar tack stitches. This made them a perfect fit for our programmable sewing machines.
To further optimize the process, we used our semi-automatic hot knife cutting system. This technology enables fast, precise cutting of raw webbing materials, ensuring dimensional consistency—critical for the performance of safety straps. The result: a manufacturing process that delivers reliable, repeatable quality, strap after strap.
